Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to make an appointment to try on wedding gowns?

Yes!  Our appointments are 90 minutes long. One of our bridal stylists will work closely with you to help you find your gown. Schedule your appointment here.

Do I need a strapless bra or any specific undergarments?

No. In fact we find bras can get in the way, preventing brides from seeing what a dress should look like. Pasties are preferable. If you plan to wear spanx, feel free to wear those as well. What what we want more than anything is for the bride to feel comfortable as she tries on different styles.

I've never tried on dresses before, do I need to know exactly what kind of dress I am looking for before coming in?

Definitely not. Finding your wedding gown is a process and trying on different silhouettes and styles can help you narrow down what you are looking for.  It can be helpful for you to share pictures of ideas or styles that you like for our Bridal Stylists to help understand your vision.

How long does it take to order a bridal gown?

Bridal gowns in a variety of sizes and colors can be ordered through our boutique directly from the designers. These special orders typically take 4 to 8 months, but the actual delivery time will depend on the designer. Rush and quick ship options are available for an additional fee. The additional costs and delivery times will vary with each designer. Please know that this timeline does not include alterations.

Do you carry accessories?

Yes! We carry a variety of headpieces, veils, and jewelry to help you see your complete look in each dress. We do not, however, carry shoes. If you would like to see your dress in heels please bring in a pair for you to try with your favorites.

Do you offer bridal alterations?  When do I need to start alterations?

No! That said, we can refer you to alteration specialists in our area or, if you live out of state, we can help you find one near you. The first fitting appointment is typically done approximately 2 months before the wedding and the final fitting is typically done 1 to 2 weeks before the wedding.
